Location: Stonebridge Hotel 12102-100 ST GP
Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Field Days
Field Day is an annual amateur radio exercise that encourages emergency communications preparedness among amateur radio operators. Operations using emergency and alternative power sources are highly encouraged, since electricity and other public infastructures are often among the first to fail during a natural disaster, emergency situation or severe weather event.
To determine the effectiveness of the exercise and of each participant’s operations, there is an integrated contesting component.
The Peace Country Amateur Radio Club typically holds its Field Day every year in June and activities typically include:
- Camping
- Swap and Shop
- Contesting
- Visiting with Club Members
The PCARC invites all members of the community to come try out the microphone for themselves!
